Diversified's transmission construction experience covers all aspects of wood and steel structure erection, re-conductoring and re-insulation projects. Our crews are experienced in construction work in environmental sensitive landscapes. We have worked with several state and federal agencies to assure that ESA and other enviornmental concerns are always addressed in a manner satisfactory to our client.
Recent PG&E Transmission Projects
- Diversified replaced 2,023 shunt splices on 230kv lines using helicopters exclusively for this project. These six circuits crossed the San Francisco Bay where access was not possible due to sensitive enviornments.

- Provided wind-storm response crews to replace more than 50 transmission poles after a devastating storm in
- Replaced poles and conductor on 20 miles of 69kv with 12kv under-builds on a major highway right-of-way in
- Installed steel pole in 230kv substation, transferred conductors over energized station and added new spans to station rack.
Recent Nevada Power Corporation projects
Up grade 21 - 138kv line sections and install new 138 kv lines in Las Vegas, Nevada including crossings of Interstate 15 in the downtown area. Replace thirty circuit miles of 954 ACSR with 954 SAC. Diversified installed pole foundations, set steel poles and reconductored existing lines having 230kv overbuild.
Install five miles of 230kv double circuit with 138kv underbuild. In addition reconductor ten miles of existing 230kv line.
Diversified also installed twenty miles of OPGW and ADSS fiber optic cable. The latest in pulling equipment was utilized including the Condux AFB 506 tensioner , the FBR 518 hydrolic tensioner and Condux reel trailers.
Other work included installing substation duct banks and pulling 145 kv 2000 mcm Copper UG cable.
Recent San Diego Gas and Electric projects
During the 2007 Southern California wildland fires Diverdified provided twenty five line crews to assist SDG&E replace both transmission and distribution lines.
